Dinner with Friends

Yesterday we had dinner with some of our good friends.  They are in town for the summer, and are actually renting a house from us.  So we went to their/our house for dinner  :)

Kate is an incredible cook, and made us a curry dish that she created on her own.  Oh man, it was yummy!  I am still working on taking photos throughout the night, and didn't think to take photos of the food or us at dinner until later (tear).

But...Kate is starting a vegan lifestyle blog and the recipe will most likely be there soon.  She was taking pictures of the final product, so you should be able to see a step-by-step recipe.  Her site is not quite up, but her graphic designer husband is working on it.  So, continue to check out veganbelle.com over the next few days to start following her, and all of her delicious goodness.


After our scrumptious meal, the boys played video games for a while until they allowed us to jump in too.  Scott and Kate like video games, and we always have fun playing with them.  Eric and I don't play if it's just us, so it's always a good time when we get the chance.  Have you ever heard of the game You Don't Know Jack?  Well, it's fun and you should try it.

Scott and Kate are also knowledgeable wine/cocktail drinkers.  It was sad, but I am still not able to partake.  So, as they enjoyed their drinks, I sipped on Yerba Mate tea.  It was good, but it wasn't a cocktail.  Oh well.  Soon enough I guess.

I didn't do so well this time around.  Eric and I don't usually win.  We attribute it to our lack of practice, and bow to Scott and Kate's skills.

Kate discovered that I was taking some phone pics and decided to pose for the next one.  Wicked sexy, huh?

We're so glad that they are in town.  We always have a lot of fun together.  They live in Tennessee, and we try to visit them, but it's not the same (this is from our last visit).  It's gonna be a fun summer with them around.
