It's All Over

Yes, yes, I am that nerd.  I read all the books (only once though) and watched all the movies.  And I can't deny that I loved every second of it.  Who doesn't want to root Harry on?!

Eric and I originally talked about going next weekend, but I secretly wanted to convince him to go tonight.  But before I could, my friend Kate asked if I wanted to go to the midnight showing.  Despite having a busy day and needing to get up early, I couldn't resist.

We arrived at the theatre an hour and a half before showtime, and killed time on our phones and eating popcorn and sour patch kids/junior mints.  Although I have read the books, I was still on the edge of my seat in anticipation.  I thought about re-reading them recently but opted not to in order to make the movie better (reading a book and then watching the movie shortly after is a recipe for disappointment).  I'm sure glad I didn't, because the movie as AWE-some.

I'm so glad Kate asked me to go.  Neither of our husbands get into Harrry Potter, so it was fun to go with someone who was as excited as I was.  Like, I was really excited.  Excited enough to take this...

What a dork.

  1. I think you are right about not reading the book. I have read first 6 books million times, I know them by heart - hence I really hate the movies. The last book I only read once long time ago, so maybe I lll finally enjoy the movie ;-)

When Order of the Phoenix came out, I had finished the book less than a week prior and absolutely hated it. I haven't read any of the books since the Deathly Hallows was first released, so I really enjoy both parts :)

I would definitely love to read them with the boys, but by the time they're at the age to start, it may be really uncool. But I'm okay with just reading them again myself :)
