The Wide World of Jogging Strollers

Over the last week or so, I have been scouring Craigslist looking at all of the baby stuff for sale.  I am mostly checking out the bigger items like strollers, car seats, cribs, saucers, changing tables, etc.  It makes me want to go out and purchase everything I'll need.  I guess it just seems so reasonable when it's so much cheaper than buying everything new.  Eric has to continually remind me though, that we don't know when we're bringing these kiddos home and I should just be patient.  It's just that everything seems like such a great deal, and you should take advantage of good deals right?  I'm just trying to be a savvy shopper since we're going to need to be more frugal after kids, right?  And my mom likes to remind me that I am going to have showers and that I should leave some things for the registry.

For now, I'll just keep looking so when I'm let loose, I can know exactly where the deals are :)

Up until this point it's been pretty fun looking.  But one thing I am having a whole bunch of trouble figuring out is our stroller.

I really want to forego a regular stroller and just get a double jogging stroller.  One, because I will want one for actual jogging; two, since we are so tall it would be nice to have more area underneath for our longer strides.  And lastly, we have a small house and I didn't want to store two different strollers.  This task has become much more challenging than I had originally estimated.  I am having the hardest time finding double jogging strollers that fit through most doors.  And unfortunately, the majority are side-by-side.

Anyway, this is what I've found so far.

BOB Revolution Duallie Stroller
This stroller is top of the line and is supposed to fit through any door.
It is also top rated by users.
Sadly, it carries a very hefty price tag.

Run Around LTD Fixed Wheel Double Stroller
This stroller has some good ratings, but then I check another website and there are a bunch of negative comments, ugh!
This stroller is pretty cost effective.
But I hear that having a fixed wheel makes it more difficult to use in stores, grocery stores, etc.

Safari Swivel Wheel Sport Double Stroller
This stroller has an adjustable handlebar so Eric won't have to be hunched over while using it.
It is also very cost effective.
It has mostly good reviews.
It's said that the swivel wheel is great for indoors but isn't as sturdy while jogging.  You need to lock it if you're going to run.

So there you have it.  None of them are perfect and none of them are guaranteed to fit through all doors, but I think this is what I've narrowed it down to.  It doesn't help that there are hundreds of strollers out there to choose from.  It's actually pretty overwhelming if you try to keep them all straight.  Maybe if I can't choose on features I'll decide by price and which one is the cutest :)
