Fun at the Park

On Tuesday morning the weather was absolutely perfect, and I couldn't resist taking the boys on a walk to the park.  We have a park just around the corner from our house.  It isn't baby/young todddler friendly, but they didn't care and had loads of fun anyway.

They would climb the stairs and go down the slide.  The slide wasn't too slick, so they would naturally top before falling off the end.  Baxter was almost able to climb back up the slide, but would slide back down just before reaching the top.  Atty tried to follow but only made it a couple of steps.

I love watching them as they exert their growing independence, although it's a little hard not to help them do everything.  Baxter especially is becoming adventurous and somewhat daring as he explores with all his newly found skills.  It blows my mind to think about where they'll be next spring, as we venture back out to the park after a long winter.

  1. Heh, it's kinda nostalgic to see them go up the slide in the park. It's a lot of fun to do when you're a kid, ha ha ha. In any case, I think it's great that you are able to watch them have fun and grow.

I love watching them have fun and grow. Although it's happening all too fast. But yes, climbing up the slide was the most fun when you're a kid.
