Dreaming of Another Tattoo

Ask any of my friends, and they can tell you that I've been debating whether or not to get another tattoo.  There's one design in particular that I've been mulling over for about three years.  Yes, you read that right, 3 whole years and I still don't have the guts to do it.  But in my defense, it's a pretty big and visible piece, and I know that I have a tendency to be fickle and with tattoos there's no going back.  That's what I'm most afraid of.

Yesterday I was following Rachel, of Smile and Wave's twitter as she was getting her tattoo done and saw the post this morning of the finished result and it got me thinking about tattoos again.  When it comes to tattoos, I definitely go in spurts of "yes, I'm doing it" or "no, I'm over it."  Well, today is more of a "yes, I'm doing it" kind of day and I thought I'd share some tattoos that motivate me to get one.

I also have a couple other ideas that aren't as prominent and represent my little family, but I'm not sold on those either.  I apparently have commitment issues when it comes to putting something on my body permanently, although I tend to drool over pretty tattoo sleeves.  Can anyone say oxymoron?

Slowly Losing Clothes

At the beginning of summer, the boys would spend most of the day in shorts and a t-shirt, but as summer has progressed, I find myself getting them dressed less and less.  Or, I'll change their diaper half-way through the day and will just leave their clothes off.  It's been so warm here, and if we don't have anywhere to go, what's the point, right?  Besides, they're just so cute when they run around in just their diapers.

Once we have a decent backyard, I'll even let them run around naked, but I think that will have to wait until our next house.

Weekend Wears

Man oh man, was this weekend fun.  It was jam packed, but with lots and lots of fun things.  Friday night, a friend I grew up with got married.  My parents watched the boys and Eric and I were able to go just the two of us.

Saturday morning we got breakfast with a dozen or so of our friends, met up with a dozen more and floated down a river for the entire afternoon.  The weather wasn't ideal, but it was really fun nonetheless.  This time, Eric's parents watched the boys so we were able to have a carefree afternoon, without worrying about our kiddos.

On Sunday, we picked up breakfast and brought it over to our friends, who just had a baby.  I'm not lying when I say that I spent the entire morning holding a baby.  He's just such a cutie, I couldn't help it!  During the afternoon, we were at Eric's parents with his sister, who is in town from LA and her new beau (he gets an "A" from us!) and that evening we watched an Alfred Hitchcock classic, which in my opinion is a great way to end the weekend.

(we had a quick high five break)

We spent the weekend with so many good friends, it really couldn't have been any better.  And we had so much fun floating that we're even talking about going again before the warm weather is gone.  I hope we figure something out, because lazily floating on a river all afternoon is a great way to spend a Saturday.

What a Busy Weekend

My goodness, this weekend was so full of fun things, I am just now stopping to breath before our next activity.  Movie night tonight will be featuring Cocoon, a movie that I was absolutely terrified of as a child.  I'm interested to see it now as an adult.

This morning, we brought our friends breakfast because they just had a baby this week.  Yep, the second of my two best friends just had her baby.  Oh, he's so precious and I loved cuddling with him all morning.  After I hold tiny babies, it always makes my boys seem huge.

Tomorrow the week will start and hopefully I can catch up on some things around the house, like cleaning and laundry.  Sometimes having to start the week playing catch up is difficult, but it's not too bad when you've had such a good weekend :)

Floating

I'm off to float down a river, if the weather cooperates (fingers crossed).  But first, breakfast!
